:help:Hi-
I was diagnosed about a year ago with IC, also had colon/gyn surgery in April which has helped my symptoms. I have posted before here on the forum but don't know exactly where to put this question.
Last Friday I woke up with more than ususally pain with the first void. Just to make sure I had the clinic (Family Medicine) that I work in do a u/a. It was totally normal except for a trace of blood. I have had no symptoms of uti just the "normal" ic discomfort. I called my urologist Friday afternoon who did not get back to me. My question for those of you that might know is this " normal" for IC patients to show a trace of blood on U/A? I had had viscerial release done the day before. The frequency and urgency is no worse that normal for the condition and there is absolutely no burning when voiding. I just need peace of mind about this. I do plan to make another phone call to the urologist tomorrow so this doesn't develop into a full blown URI. Thanks for any comforting advise you can give this afternoon.
