Very Gross Question!

I can't get the nerve up to ask my GP about it so thought I would here. At least we are not face to face. :) Is it normal to have such an awful smell during your period? It's due to the blood. I still have air coming out from my vagina and he said it could be from the bowels or something else ,which I can't remember, but I wonder if that is why it stinks so much? I have to use tampons for sure otherwise I smell like a walking sewer. :rolleyes: Hope I haven't grossed anyone out with this quesiton.

No, you haven't grossed me out but you have caused me to be concerned. I know it is hard to do, but you really need to talk to a doctor about this. They have heard and seen most everything, so don't be embarrassed to ask.

I am right with Sharon on this one. and she is right I don't think there is much a doctor has not seen or heard. Get your self and appt asap please.

I absolutely agree. Menstrual blood does have an odor, but if you're experiencing a different smell, you really need to have it checked out.
