I have been hounded/nagged to death from day one of the low/no fat diet. Keep hearing don't eat this I can eat peanut butter. Everything makes fat no matter what and I am still being called FAT!! I've lost 12 pounds and you can see it in my cloths how they hang but noooooooooooooo I'm still FAT!! :mad:Plus getting back on the celexa I'm starting to gain again. It said on the side effects it was supposed to cause weight loss so go figure. :rolleyes:Anyway, I go Wednesday to see what the follow up cholestoral was but that's it. I'm dropping the whole thing. Will either try to keep up with it on my own or just go back to my old ways and gain back the weight. I mean who cares anyway? No one in my family sure does and I am just too tired to care either. Everyone nagged/hounded me the same with the IC and that has been 10 years of it.

I am so sorry your feeling that way. I am sure it is so frustrating. Just so you know, I care, and I am really sorry your feeling that way. We are all here to support one another and if you ever want to PM me you can. I hope you feel better soon and again if you ever want to PM me, please do so. Its even hard for me with the IC diet sometimes. Lisa

I am sorry you aren't receiving the support you need from your family. What you need is a diet buddy--someone to encourage you to keep going and someone you can vent to when you are feeling the urge to give in and fall off the diet wagon. There are some great websites out there like that, like sparkpeople and traineo. Before you decide to give up, check out those sites. Just remember that you are doing this for YOU. Having your clothes fit differently is a reward--don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Hugs,
Jess

P.S. I had a lot of problems with Celexa and Zoloft and I ended up getting put on a cosuin medication, Lexapro. It helped me and the side effects were very minimal for me. If the Celexa is too much, maybe you could ask about Lexapro.

Waterflow,
First, I know a lot of people care about you as I have seen wonderful posts on the ICN. As far as the people in your family, I don't know and don't want to you.....and either should you!

Easier said then done, I know. I am so with you! M So I be the healthiest I can be right now. I do what I can with what I eat, I exercise, god willing and that is me!

My body looks at food and I gain weight. Doesn't matter what I eat, gain weight. Three week flu, running at both ends, no food, not even a cracker...gained 3 pounds! Hey is the kicker..trained for 5 months to run my first marathon, running 50 miles per week and finished the marathon in under 4 hours. Gained 12 pounds, right in the tummy. Everyone said it was muscle weight! Nope, nada...it was fat.

So, I got a sucky metabolisim. OK. But I have a lot of other great things about me. The Universe is a great equalizer...no one gets everything!!!!!

As far as other people and what they say to you, remember...It says more about them, then it says about you!!! Next time someone asks or says something, ask them back... What is your concern?

P.S. Lisa...you are very sweet and compassionate!

I'm with the ladies here!! You are doing fabulous and you keep on trucking girl!!! All that matters is how YOU feel when you are getting dressed and think "hey, this fits GREAT!" You already know how it makes you feel, and seriously that's all that matters - if you feel good about how you look and feel - that shines right on through ;) I know it's nice to have some outside validation for all your hard work and whatnot, we all love to get that. Unfortunately, we sometimes have to be our own biggest cheerleaders because sometimes the people in our lives just don't know what to say, or say completely the wrong thing, ugh.

So, take it from us girls here - we are POSITIVE you are looking smokin' so keep up the good work - and I am envious of how great you are doing :) And it's even a bigger accomplishment that you are going along so well in the winter! That's usually my time to start packing them on, ha ha ha!!!

DO NOT let anyone make you feel bad - you got that??? ;) You are doing great, we think you're wonderful no matter what!!!!!!!! Keep on keeping on - don't ever give up because others just aren't getting it! ;)
