I tried a Mc(something) brand of powdered Garlic today AFTER calling their customer service line to see if there is ANYthing else in it (no listed ingredients!). Well, a person who sounded all of 16 years old answered the phone there and was (a little too) quick to tell me, no - no additives or preservatives. (nothing personal against 16 year olds...I was one a long time ago!)

But there must be - otherwise it would harden - no? Or go rancid?
No, no she promised me nothing in it, just Garlic.

WRONG - MAJOR FLARE. Fortunately I just had a shake of it.
HAS to be something else in it - I DO NOT FLARE on the "usually okay list!"

Anyone have something to add/their experience on "dried powdered" garlic?
I was thinking that maybe they spray the dried garlic with something before bottling it...its possible. ?

I'm okay now - but MAD. Should I try some fresh garlic you think?

I don't know what to tell you about weather or not there was something elese in the garlic you took....that it is best to trust your own instincts.

Me, I have had difficulty with garlic causing IBS problems which have caused some bad IC flares. Usually gas pressure pushing on my bladder.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!!!

The ONLY powdered garlic I could tolerate was Trader Joe's brand. It was the only one my bladder didn't seem to mind, the other brands were awful for me ;)
