Anyone on these meds?

I went to the dr. yesterday because of a constant aching pain right where my ribs come together. Straight down from the neck. It comes and goes, but I've been having these symptoms for a couple weeks. I also had a really bad back pain. It could be a symptom of my change in diet due to now having IC or from taking my Celexa. The dr. thought the back and stomach pain were not related. At this time he does not think it is my gallbladder.

The Pantoprazole tablet is used to treat ulcers and gastroesophageal issues. The medicine works by blocking acid production in the stomach.

Metoclopramide is a gastrointestinal stimulant used to treat much of the same type of issues as the other med.

I'm so worried to take these, that they will affect my bladder. Has anyone taken these before?

Yes I've taken them both. Neither have effected my bladder but the second drug aka Reglan did make me anxious. It works by causing your stomach to empty its contents a little quicker which can help with nausea.

Hi I take pantoloc I think that is the other name and It has been a life saver for me. I know is very expensive if you don't have a plan but is an amazing drug . Pantoloc also helps when you take drugs like elmiron and elavil etc...
I also wanted to tell you about my gallbladder , I had it taken out last year after 4 years of pain and 3 Doctors which one told me I was born without a gallbladder ( 1% of the population is born without one ,bla, bla, bla). Get a second opinion if you continue to have pain. The stones on my gallbladder got stock in the bile ducts and I had to go the the ER and got them to pushed them down in to my stomach, My urine was like coke and my stool was white.
Good luck and hope you feel better soon .I hope I didn't scare you with my story.

Thanks for your replies. You didn't scare me! LOL :)

I just got up the nerve to take the pills for the first time today and I was prescribed them on Monday. I'm such a worrier when it comes to medicines, etc. I was so worried that it would make my bladder worse. So far so good. Hopefully the pain goes away. I'll get a second opinion if it doesn't.

Erika :)
