I just spoke to my aunt who is a gyne in South America, she was in a congress for Vulvodynia with several drs from other countries, Brazil, Chile Argentina etc. South American docotrs follow European medicine and American medicine.
One of the subjects was introducing B complex (B1 100mg, B6 200mg and B12 5 mg) twice a week for 6 months at least (this is orally). I asked if that can done by injections and she said yes but I have to check if it is possible. She suggested I mention it to my docotr here in the US.
IC patients have some trouble with B complex. I didn't tell her that but I thought that will be a good thing to share here since that can be dicussed with your doctor and is not an invasing treatment or anything.
She said B complex of course with a tryciclic and valium. Too bad I couldn't talk to her for longer.
Hope it helps.
