Flares and MSM?

I would like to know if anyone has tried MSM and had a flare from it? I took some and had a flare and the last time I tried it the same thing happened. What do you think? It was like mild burning and stronger feeling of frequency. Have you noticed this too with some supplements or the MSM?

Hi, I have not tried MSM but like every treatment, every person reacts differently. You just have to keep track of how you react to things when you try them. As you are trying new things, jot down how you feel. If you are also keeping a food diary, maybe by chance you are flaring from food rather than the treatment by keeping this type of log, when you try it again if you do, you have something to compare with.

That is why it is so important to just keep track and then discuss it all with your Dr. as you decided what is best for you. It is very possible you are reacting to the MSM and maybe others have had the same reaction.

Hang in there, keep trying and in time you will know what is best for you.:)

I have started glucomiasin with MSM 500mg of both a night. I have been doing fine with both. But the brand I have has no added ingrediants. So you might want to check for that.

Hey Ronda! I am guessing you maybe read a particular thread that I also read too? hehe I read that some were doing well with GNC glucosamine and MSM so yeah Im getting some! I hope it works for us!

Well Dreamy I had to try it because the Elmiron was making me loose some hair.. But the Elmiron is what has helped my bladder SO much with the burning I was having. I wish I would not of had any side effects..I am still taking one a day, But if the other does not help then I will go back to 3 a day and just loose my hair. Because thats how much it has helpd me.. I never want to go back to the hell I was in before my meds..
