FYI... We've been clobbered today with a wicked storm.... power out for about eight hours.... 6" of rain, hurricane force winds and even a little bit of flooding under my house. They are saying this is the worst storm we've had in about ten years AND another very cold one is coming in tonight when snow levels are expected to drop to 2000 feet.
So, my first job was to get my elderly parents set. With a quick trip to the store for wood for heat (Thank God their fireplace works) and heating up water in the fondue pot with Sterno... they did fine... though my 85 year old Dad went out twice in his robe and PJ's to pick up the trash cans after the wind kept knocking them over. He protects his castle, that's for sure!
Then, it was about just staying warm. Love these Bodiheat heating pads of which I have two on my back right now.. Yahoo!!! I can't stand being cold.... don't know how you East Coasters do it.
Should be back answering phones on Monday barring trees falling on buildings!! Yikes.
