Hello all

30 YO female from Denver Co here! I was diagnosed with IC in 2/05 after 8 years of not knowing what was going on, a few surgerys and lots of misdiagnosis and several crappy doctors later who think you are not serious! It has been a bumpy road and am sure it will continue. I am sure you all know how that goes! There are great days and there are terrible days, where the pain is so intense that it is difficult to get out of bed and face the day.
Needless to say, I am here now. I am beginning an elimination diet, I would prefer not to take drugs, willing to try changing what I eat and see if that helps any and explore other alternatives and try to minimize my stress level, especially at work, as that seems to be where it is the worst. So, having your experiences here for me to read, gives me hope that I am not alone with IC. I look foward to getting to know you and your support~

Happy '08

:welcome:

Welcome to the boards! You're absolutely right when you say that we're familiar with the hassles you've had since your symptoms first popped up. Luckily, there are a bunch of people here who feel your pain (literally) and who are happy to share their experiences and the remedies that have worked (or not) for them. Following the IC diet and trying to reduce stress are great ways to start. Cruise around the different threads on this forum and you'll find more great ideas to make you feel better.

:hi: Jeannine and :welcome: to the ICN...

I was so glad to hear that you are beginning the IC Diet. Many here have found significant relief from using it's guidance. Hope you only have great days from now on. :):):)
