Merry Christmas yall!:hi:
We did my big family Christmas on Saturday here at my house, then Jerry and I did our Christmas on Christmas eve since I had to work Christmas day. All in all it was very tire-ing, but wonderful.
Just got home from work an hour ago.:loco:
Good night all!

We had a wonderful Christmas starting with our Christmas Eve service at church then spending time our families Christmas Eve! We went to visit friends from church until after midnight and watch videos from when our kids were at church camp and some of their own self-made videos (hysterical). The couple we visited were my son's best friends parents, and Glenn was always the videographer involving our kids at church. That was so much fun!. The next morning my mom and step-dad and my in-laws came over to see my us open our presents and eat my yearly Christmas Breakfast. Everyone was happy and in great spirits.
Took a nice long nap yesterday afternoon after my son and DIL headed back to AL. Back at work for a short week. My mgr won't be in, so I won't be here for too long each day, just long enough to get my regular job stuff done, then off I go back home to rest!
My favorite Christmas memory this year is my son wanting a long wool coat "charcoal in color" that he couldn't find. We looked at every store, on the internet, couldn't find his size anywhere. He was in constant search for this coat. I probably received 15 phone calls just last week and he was more panicked everytime! I had already found it and had it wrapped under the tree with my mom's name on it (he is almost as nosey as me!). He thought he would have to wait and get one after Christmas since there were a couple that he had put on back order. The look on his face when he opened his coat was if he was 5 and he got the White Power Rangers figurine to complete his collection! I even bought "gift cards" from our local dry cleaner and put them in his pockets since I knew he wouldn't have it cleaned on his own. He wore it pretty much all day! Before we went to bed last night, he (now he is 21) came into my room and said that he can't believe that every year I seem to find exactly what he wanted. He said he had no idea why he was in such a panic, I come through every year. I told him that even though he "thinks" I don't listen to him, I heard him talking about the coat when we were visiting him at college in November. I saw it while I was shopping a few weeks later and prayed that he didn't change his mind!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hubby and I had a wonderful Christmas. We decided not to exchange gifts this year since our son was going elsewhere for the Holidays. That in itself made it a very non stressful time for me.
Christmas Eve we were invited to a friend's home for homemade chicken noodle soup and to watch as their grandson opened his gifts. He is seven and was so upset that he had to wait until after dinner to open his treasures.
Christmas Day we went to a friend's house for an early dinner and had leftovers from a sit down dinner party for 24 people they gave last Saturday. The food was even better the second time around. Then we sat in front of the fireplace drinking decaf coffee and listening to Christmas music in the background while we talked into the early evening.
All in all, I have to say it was one of the best Christmas' we have had in a very long time.
Now it's on to New Years Eve. I don't know what we will be doing for that, but I can guarantee it will be a quiet celebration. We usually stay at home and off the roads.
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone...:woohoo:

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas. Mine went really well. I had 18 familly memebers over to my new house. There were all my family or my boyfriends. This was the first holiday that we had both our families for. I heard my boyfriend's mom ask his step dad what he thought and then she said it sure is a lot of women. Haha. See thirteen of them were my mom's family. Out of the 13 we only have 3 guys. We are all women and we have the best time. We just talk and talk all at the same time. It was a great time.
