Connection between cysts and IC

I just read a story of another woman who was told she had rather large cysts on her ovaries also. My urologist made that find when he did a ct scan and xrays. I wonder if there is any correlation between the cysts and IC.

Again that is the big question. When my doctor took my history and did the initial tests, I had never had a UTI, a bladder infection, no female problems or cysts, 2 perfectly normal childbirths (except for being long). Like my doctor said before during an interview. Finding out what causes IC is like what causes a headache. There are so many possibilities. The causes of IC are huge and could be from some type of trauma, constant infections, allergies, to many antibiotics through the years, pelvic surgeries, even sexual abuse were some of the things they were looking in to. I did hold my bladder as a young child, while I was playing outside, but didn't have issues with IC until well over 10 years after that.

That is wonderful to know that your life is getting back to normal and that there is hope something might help us all! I am praying that by staying on my meds and doing the IC diet that one day I too wil be in "remission."
