:help: Tomorrow is hyro #4.. I am not nervous about the procedure, just the recovery afterwards. Also, I do have LOTS and LOTS of trouble staying asleep long enough to hold the meds in! Docs just cant seem to keep me knocked out for very long!! Wish me luck:(

I go in for Hydro#2 hopefully in a few weeks and wish I could be like you and say I wasn't scared! Everytime I go under I get freaked out a bit.

Hi All, thanks so much for your well wishes!! They must have worked because all went better than ever expected! Like I said, this was my 4th. I stayed asleep the entire time, held all the meds in and do not hurt at all except a tiny bit when i pee... Actually, right now, I feel better than when I went in... There is not that sensation of "oh, I can feel my bladder" 24/7. Sent home with pain meds and haven't had to take one yet! This is such a blessing from GOD!! So far, so good!!

Yah!!!! Donna I am SOOO happy for you. That is how I felt after mine. I had been in so much pain that I think they pain meds they put in the IV gave me so much relief. I hope things continue to go well and you have a wonderful Christmas:angel:

:headbang: Well, I should have waited to post my response to my hydro. Felt great the day I had it done and the day after but today is day 3 and I feel like $&%^#*%&(. Bad cramps like menstrual cramps paired with bladder spasms!! Of course, I have to leave for Mississippi tomorrow and I can't even imagine the trip or the packing!!! Wonder why this is happening?? I really thought that I was home free for Christmas!!:mad:

I am so sorry! I had pain after my second one with bad spasms but it then went away. I hope it goes away quickly for you.

hurting like he** today!!! sad and depressed!! I feel sorry for my family having to put up with me during the holidays! don't know what else to try for the pain- mostly spasm like. any suggestions besides tub and heating pad? @ will be traveling so those 2 are out of the question. mery christmas to you all!!!!

Try the sticky heating pads. That might help. :)

They gave me pyriduim, I had the spasms to. It helped a little. Its very uncomfortable to feel that way! I hope each day you start to feel better. :pray:

I made it to miss. had to stop half way and take the sticky pad advice!! still hurting quite a bit but at least I made it here!! my mom is not feeling well so it looks like xmas "chores" will be up to me. I just want to keep the peace until I can get this over with and get back home!! kinda a bad outlook I know but its the way I feel!

Please, please, please don't over do it and have people help you. I had to do Christmas Eve dinner today for my family, my parents and my brother and SIL. I thought it was such an easy dinner, ham, baked sweet potatoes, green beans and rolls. But of course I was running around getting it ready to put on the table and I was making sure there were enough snacks out for everyone before dinner. Now I am sooo sore I feel like I can barely move! My bladder, pelvis, lower back are all killing me. This is why I did the stocking stuff last night since I knew I would be beat today. If I could I think I would go to bed for the night right now, lol.

after having my first and last hydro i had horrible bladder spasms especially while peeing.
It went away after a few days but yeah..it is horrible pain.
try to drink something like marshmallow root tea or chamomille tea to soothe your bladder...
i drink chamomille tea every day and it seems to make my bladder smoothe.
And yeah use heatpads.

Hi Emily,
My Christmas was nice; however, I am still having bladder pain:cussing:. Had the hydro done the Wed. before xmas and felt great the 1st two days after except for that little burn when u pee. I think that I felt good for those 2 days because I was sooooooo loaded up on pain meds in recovery in order to keep me asleep that it took 2 days for it to wear off! Anyway, seems like I'm back to square one:confused:. How about you, did you and your family have a nice Christmas??
