Longest Recovery Time From Hydro??

Just wondered what is the longest amount of time that you felt "normal" after having a hydro/cysto?? "normal" being no pain.... Having my 4th on wed. and really dreading it! Actually, for the last 3 days (out of the last 2 months), I have felt great! Im sure because I went ahead and scheduled the hydro. That's how my body works! Schedule surgical procedure, feel better, cancel surgical procedure, HURT LIKE HELL!! No, I'm not cancelling it but I'd sure like to. Please be HONEST about your recovery time...

HI:] Well i'm going to be honest. I had my hydro done Nov.14th and was diagnosed with IC and I don't think I started feeling better until about a week ago. I know loooooong time BUT. yes there is a but I developed a severe UTI after my hydro/cysto. Had no idea I had it and went to the ER Nov. 25 and was hospitalized overnight. So I think most of the pain became worse because of that, so i dont know if If I ever got to feel the effects of my hydro. They pumped me full of so many drugs and antibitoics that it could have ruined the good effects, how would i know. Anyways thats my experience. Sorry if I was too honest. Take care and good luck.

The longest time I have had that I felt good after a hydro was 22 months and the shortest was six months. I average about a year.

I had alot of improvement after my very first hydro, I would say I felt better for over a year, and about 6 months on the last one, now to recover, the first one I recovered quickly, a few weeks, the last one I had in 2002, because my bladder was so irritated already, I had spasms that lasted about 3 weeks and I did not feel well so I told the doctor I did not want anymore hydro's, they were not for me. It was a different doctor doing it also, so that very well could have made a difference, I know that it does help becaue with my first one I had great results.

My time between hydros are 6-8 months; by the eighth month I'm calling the nurse and say schedule me!! (I average 2 a year.)
