Had a cysto/hydro on Friday. I was the last one on the OR list. It went OK I guess. My doc. told my husband that he got to 700. That is all he shared with him. My PT showed up to she for herself what is done and how it is done. I guess she found it interested to see the Nodulers or something like that that are all inside. She also was surprised at the instruments that they use to do these procedures. She shared these things briefly on Sat. when she called to see how I was doing. The doc. office should be calling me today. It Monday and I am feeling better. I still don't have alot of energy but I have alot to do. We just made plane reservations for my father in law to come out on the 23rd from Ill. and spend a month with us. This means more house work than I planned. My daughter just had a baby 2 wks ago and even though she lives here will see how much help I get. Enough about that. Just wcnted to let you know the update and thanks for your thoughts.
Have a Merry Christams.

I am glad that you are feeling okay, but please take care of yourself. I know how we women think we need to do everything when company comes into town, but remember that your body needs to heal.
Congrats on the new grandbaby!!!
Merry Christmas,

I'm glad everything went okay. I do agree with Tracey, I would really take it easy. I felt so tired after my hydro for about a week and I really had to take it easy. If you do too much you will just take longer to heal. Are there any other children at home other than your daughter with her new baby? If so have them chip in with the house work so you won't have to do as much. My husband divides up the house work between the three teenagers and they do most of it. If I were to do all the housework on a normal day it would be me into a horrible flare let alone when I had just had a hydro. Get losts of rest, the holidays is about spending time with family not having a perfectly clean house. :grouphug:

I'm glad it went well. And 700 cc is really pretty good for an ICer. A normal bladder will distend to something like 1000 cc under anesthesia so you're not too far off. It's usually about what mine distends to with anesthesia and it really helps me.

I agree with taking time to rest. I didn't much after my Hydro and I paid for it!! i felt awful for weeks instead of days. My Doctor didn't even tell me what my capacity is, so I am glad you know yours. He didn't take a biopsy at all, which is part of the reason why I am having another in February.
Hope you heal well and this Hydro will bring relief.
