I've long noticed that I can make my bladder pain diminish significantly if my mind is highly excited or preoccupied with something. For example, I usually have to go every 15-20 minutes, but if I am engaged in a very interesting conversation with someone, or playing a high-adrenaline video/computer game, I can easily delay for more than an hour. When I'm excited like this, I just don't feel the sensation as much. And it's not that I "forget" about my bladder; I can actually think to myself, "hey, I don't feel my bladder as much." Do you all experience this effect a lot, somewhat, or not much at all?

I find if my mind is very involved in something I don't think about it very much. But once I do notice it I have to go like now. As for my pain, it is never unnoticed. Just urgency and frequency. I think it is b/c if you aren't engaed into something mentally, you just sit there and wonder. "Okay, it's been 15 minutes I am going to have to go again soon" but if your mind is busy you don't sit there and expect/wait for it to happen or even think about it.
