Has anyone had a problem with their uterus "flopping" over onto their bladder? One of the Docs I had seen while searching for the answer to my pain said (during a pelvic exam) that my uterus was on my bladder. But the Doc who diagnosed me with IC didn't mention it at all.

I know that I have a tilted uterus. It was explained to me many years ago that if you picture an ice bag the floppy part in the back that you put ice in is tilted so it is over the opening. I have no idea if this is a factor in my bladder problems. I did have a confirmed case of endo growing through my bladder wall into my bladder.

It makes me wonder if its not part of all this mess. Doc had told me that my problems had likely gone on too long for PT to help me. Not that I'd be able to afford it anyway.

Did he say it was prolapsed? That's what mine did. It prolapsed which I guess means falls, and I had a total hysterectomy. They also found "chocolate cysts" very weird name but their like endometromias all throughout my ovaries and tubes.

Sorry.... I wasn't clear in my first posting. Flopped is the word the GYN used who told me about my uterus. :loco: Not very technical I know. But I do remember clearly she said it was on on my bladder, until the other GYN told me I had IC I thought the uterus having flopped over (I'm very tired all over really) was why I was having to go so much. She didn't mention surgery or anything to do about it. Thinking about it all now it just seems rather odd, but like most of y'all I seem to have a lot of things going on down there.
I just had a hysterectomy and bladder repair 3 months ago for a prolapsed bladder and uterus. I dont know if thats teh saem thing or not. but my doc didnt notice untill I talked to her about it. you might mention it to your Gyn. she had me baredown during the exam. so your doc may not notice it unless they do that specific exam. I hope that helps some.

Thank you for that information! I'll contact Dr. Child's and mention what the other GYN said about my floppy uterus.
