I am having a hydro and cysto on Friday. My insurance covers most of my cost. I am curious about how much do others pay for this procedure. I am starting to get nervous about Friday. I feel terrible. I have IC and PFD and they are both bothering me. I am going to try to do my own interal message. Well I got to get back to work so I can have things cleaned before Fri.

Please get as much rest after the procedure as possible. Let us know how you are doing.

Prayers for a quick recovery!

I HAVE HAD IT DONE TWICE, THE 1ST TIME MY PART COST $700 AND THE SECOND TIME I DIDN'T PAY ANYTHING. I JUST HAD IT DONE LAST THURSDAY, I'M STILL HAVING PROBLEMS FROM THE PROCEDURE. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PEE SINCE THURS MORNING. HAVE TO USE HOME CATH. HAVING A HARD TIME DEALING WITH THE CHANGES BECAUSE THE LAST TIME THE PROCEDURE WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL. IF I STILL CAN'T VOID BY MONDAY, THEY WILL START TO LOOK FOR OTHER OPTIONS. THIS CATH IS GIVING ME THE BLUES!!!!!!:cussing:

HOPE THAT HELPS, THEY DIDN'T TELL ME THE SIDE EFFECTS BEFORE I HAD THE PROCEDURE.

Someone told me in an earlier post that in California it cost $22,000 for the procedure.
If I had it done, I have a 1000 deductible and then they only pay 80 percent and my out of pocket is 2500, so it would cost me 3500. No wonder I don't have it done. I couldn't afford it.
I sure wish I had better insurance.

I had my hydro/cysto in April and my insurance makes me pay 20% after my ded. I had already met my ded by this time and my portion is about $1000.

I usually have hydro's done twice a year, I have $1000 deductable that I have to meet, but until then I have to pay about $500.00. Usually by the second one, I have meet my deductable and the only thing it costs me then is $100.00 copay.
