Hi Everyone,

I know its been awhile since I popped my head in here. I've been in pain and between the pain and work I haven't had the energy to post, just to lurk. I had my 3rd hydro in a year yesterday. It went well all the staff were great, the Doc had to cauterize something this time. I'll have to ask what it was on my f/u as I was too out of it to remember to ask at the time. I'm not in as much pain as I was the last 2 times. I am having difficulty peeing though. I have discovered however that the suggestion of urinating in a tub of warm water is extremely helpful. I just wanted to pass this along to anyone else in the future who may encounter this problem.

I'm glad you're doing okay after your most recent hydro. I have only had the one to diagnois me and don't plan on having another one because it didn't give me any symptom relief. Thanks for the idea about peeing in the warm tub. It took me almost 5 minutes to get my stream started this morning from stress of being woken up by my MIL screaming throughout the whole house about not being able to find her darn boots, lol. I might have to try that tub trick in the near future if I keep on having those problems.

Hi, my doctor was just telling me never push when you urinate, I said well, I been doing that for years first thing in the morning and I had to in order to feel empty, he said get in a hot shower or a warm bath if I have to, so thanks for the post! I had 3 hydro's, 3rd one was most painful, didn't want anymore, but the first one I had a foley for 3 days, that was when they lasered the ulcers off my bladder, but I remember having a hard time urinating after the 2nd and 3rd one. But I still in the morning have a hard time getting the urine out. Think it took me 10 minutes to urinate this morning because I was scared to push, which I have been doing for as long as I can remember. Thanks!
