Unfortunately my Urgency Pain was not fixed by the lapartomy done two weeks ago. I will be going in for Pudendal Nerve Decompression, which is the last stop. This will be done in the Spring.

Let's just hope that that laparotomy improved my fertility so it was worth something.

I am dissapointed but had a feeling it would do nothing for my main symptom which is the intense urge to pee. On Bad days it's too much to bare. On good days I just keep on going.

Not done yet............

A work in progress I guess! Onward!

I'm sorry it didn't work for the urgency pain but I really hope it helps with fertility. I don't know if I have PNE but I know I have PN issues and am getting PN nerve blocks once a week. I can only imagine what you're going through with all of this. I hope this decompression will finally give you the relief you so deserve.

Kara, I hoped it would work. I truly hope that the surgery will help you conceive after everything you have been through. And to see you still take pictures through all of this is amazing!

Hugs and prayers!

Kara,

My main problem is urgency. I know how you feel. It is horrible. I call it pain but pain meds do not really help. I have had some success making it stop. I am sure you have tried most of this but it might help. I take the norm, ditropan 10 and 15 a day (helps me a lot and does not cause me retension, elavil 50, elmiron a day. I also follow a strict ic diet. For me I think dairy causes an urgency flare. My urologist has you go to an allergist and I tested positive for a very small dairy allergy. So maybe a food you never would suspect is causing you urgency. But what really helps is when I flare I take a muscel relaxant baclofen. One of the best things about it is it does not make me feel "high" or make me sleepy and it is not a schedualed drug. If I still feel bad in two hours I take another. If all else fail I take a pain pill. Just an idea. I hope you feel better.
