I just called the gastro's office, talked to the scheduling girl and she says casually, "you are to be there at 6am on THURSDAY for a 7am procedure"! I was STUNNED. I asked if anyone had been planning on filling ME in on that. She was snotty with me so I hung up the phone and called my doctor's asst and talked to her. She said my DOCTOR made the arrangements himself and forgot to tell the scheduling girl to call me. My own DOCTOR made my appointment!!!!
I have to start the prep on Wed, thats the day after tomorrow!!!!!! I am just stunned.
Everything is set up for them to take care of me and my withdrawls that I most certainly will have again, and I'm having both procedures done, the EGD and colonoscopy with anesthesia present giving me propofol. I just can't get over it.
So....there we go. Thursday. Tom just managed to get the day off and my ex has the kids that day. So let us just PRAY that nothing goes wrong and everything goes right that day. Please oh please!!!

Isn't that the craziest thing you've EVER heard of??? An actual MD making an appointment?!?! I love my doctor, he's great and he was never the problem, it was the hospital staff that upset me so badly. Nothing should go wrong this time......
