I've STILL not gotten rescheduled for this colonoscopy/egd!!!!!!!!!! They called me last week and told me the "best" they could do was Jan 7th at, get this, 10 AM!!! That's what I had the LAST time when everything went wrong. I talked to the nurse manager of the dept and she assured me that I would have a 6 am arrival time and 7 am procedure time. The scheduler at the doctor's office is, to quote her, "trying" to get me taken care of, but this has become ridiculous. So, I'm trying to calm my nerves and call her back and gently remind her that I NEED this procedure done. I'm STILL nauseated and STILL vomiting. About every other night I get up and come to the couch to sleep with a bucket because I'm afraid I'm going to throw up in the middle of the night. I do have good days, like I said, about every other day. COME ON PEOPLE, it's not that hard to do. Just schedule me at 6 am!!! How freaking hard is that?

On top of it ALL my back, the disc disease, is giving me fits that not even my TENS unit can take care of lately. Lidoderm patches are like putting a washcloth there---they're doing nothing! I've been so busy running my kiddos all over town to be with their friends, doing what shopping I couldn't do online, trying to do laundry, decorate (we DID get the tree done and the outside has been done since the weekend of Thanksgiving), wrapping, just everything.

So, here I sit trying not to be angry because this woman hasn't called me back in 3 business days. Trying not to be negative because this IS Christmas and I am fortunate enough this year that we were able to get plenty for my kids, and for each other, and just being thankful in general.

I just want the back pain to go away and I want my test scheduled. Is that TOO MUCH TO ASK?

so sorry this has become a 3 ring circus for you. I hope it all gets done soon, and they can get you better.

If they schedule you for a 6:00am test, that would mean that they and the doctor would have to come in before 10:00am. It is so hard to schedule around the golf course. :evilsmile

They TOLD me at the hospital if I came in at 6, it would be a 7 am procedure and my doc was SO angry at the way they treated me that he was willing to do anything to get this procedure done for me. He's been the good guy in all of this, willing to do anything it took to get me in there. I know he gave the nurses and people working in the admitting part of the endoscopy lab a good piece of his mind, or so his asst tells me anyway. I don't know what the holdup is unless it's anesthesia because I'm having the propofol done so I don't wake up.

I hope they get it worked out for you. They owe that much to you after what happened last time. Good Luck Sandy.

Sandy,

I am so sad that you are still so sick. I would be so scared and worried as I am sure you are:help: I can't believe you are getting anything at all accomplished! You are wonder woman. Nausea is my least favorite thing to deal with. It is impossible to find relief and atleast with pain, we can take something! I have yet to find the miracle drug for nausea.

I am praying for you. I had and Endoscopy a couple years ago and the jerk doctor didn't believe me when I said I would need a strong dose of meds to knock me out and as he put the scope down my throat, I was crying and finally he gave me another dose. Unfortunately they used Fentanyl and I discovered i am allergic to it. wow was I sick. Now I specify before any procedures that I have to have Morphine and AstroMorph works best for me. I went thru all of that only for the doctor to say I was fine and had mild Gastritis. I hate Endosocpys! I certainly am not trying to worry you..I just want you to know I care and am thinking of you.

I really wish they would get this procedure done and over with! It's so scary to be sick this long!:pray::pray::pray::pray:
