I just found the link to the article in the newest Prevention Magazine including the urogenital probiotic as one of the top medical advancements in 2007 for women's health.

http://www.prevention.com/cda/article/top-medical-breakthroughs-of-2007/d2cb318f97546110VgnVCM20000012281eac____/health/healthy.lifestyle/smart.medical.decisions

FemDophilus has been touted for treatment/prevention of BV, but it also helps prevent bladder infections since it prevents adherence of pathogenic bacteria in the vagina and this is where most of the bacteria comes from before entering the urethra.

It is available in some health food stores and online.

I think you will agree this puts it among some prestigious advancements for women's health.

Thanks for the link Martha! I'll read it.
Does anyone know where I can get Femdophilus REFRIGERATED? I don't find it in the stores and when I got it online it was not refrigarated and who knows whow long it was not refrigerated...The bottle says keep refrigerated......Basically, I wouldn't want to take dead lactobacilli. If anyone know where to get it refrigerated please PM me or post it.
Thanks!!!!!!!

PS: Some of the good bacteria strains in Femdohpilus are found in "Stony Field" (sp?) yogurth (if you can tolerate yogurth...) I.e Lact. Reuteri.

I have been in touch with the product manager of the company who markets it since some of us were concerned about ordering by mail in the summer months. He said they guarantee a certain number of colonies to be viable when delivered so in the manufacture they include an greater number in case some are lost during shipment.

I think this is an important issue and if you will PM me I will send you his email and you can write to ask about this. They want the product to be effective so are concerned about its viability no matter where it is sold. This is a marketing issue that should be addressed for customer satisfaction and I think they would want to hear from anyone with concerns. I don't know where FemDophilus would be sold in the refrigerated section, but I buy my probiotic for intestinal health in one.
