Can a liver shrink with IC?

I can't imagine any reason IC would cause your liver to shrink. There may be some medical reason for it to, but none that I can think of off the top of my head. I can look in my old nursing/anatomy books and see if I can find an answer for you though. That's one question I haven't heard before. Did he say it could have something to do with the IC? Also, why was your uro checking your liver? :confused: Was he just being thorough?

I dont think its due to ic, most likely you were born with a smaller liver

Personally, I've never read anything about IC affecting the size of one's liver.

Some medications can affect the liver. You may want to ask the dr. about it.

I am so embarrased. I meant to ask if IC causes a bladder to shrink. I have my liver on my mind lately.

Well, to that answer yes, IC can make your bladder shrink. It can also cause your brain to shrink! LOL! I am testiment to that!!!!
