Hi folks,

I am trying to figure out what is causing me to have such bad pain in my vagina...you see this past summer I was feeling great for all of June, july and august...then on sept. 4th i got into a car accident...a huge truck came and hit my passenger side (he didnt stop at the stop sign) and my jeep was hit hard and almost flipped over, but didnt! Thank God! Well I was in shock and came out of my car, and the policeman asked if I was injured, I said I dont think so....and then a few weeks later I started to feel a lot of pain in my lower back. Along with the lower back pain, my IC started flaring badly after me feeling fine for three months....I know IC pain can cause back pain, but can back pain cus IC pain?? I went to my doc and he wants me to go to physical therapy for my back, saying I sprained my lower lumbar muscle. Could that be linked to the fact that my bladder and vagina have been in so much pain lately, and I got checked and there is no infection of the bladder or yeast or anything...also I was referred to a physical therapist for my bladder..I guess for pelvic floor? But they dont take my insurance...does PT for your vagina help that burning feeling go away?? Ive called my doc to ask about another PT person since this one doesnt take my insurance , they didnt call me back...any input from you all would be wonderful....hope you are doing well, or atleast somewhat better!!

hugs,
alina

Well I know my gyno referred me to a chiropractor because she believes that pelvic pain can be from a lower lumbar problem. In my case it hasn't made a big difference, but the chiro didn't see a lot of lower lumbar issues either so it wouldn't. She has worked miracles on my upper back tho so I keep going.

Apparently the back injury can damage/irritate nerves - it's all connected so you get referred pain, not necessarily at the site of the problem.

I hope you get some relief soon.

I am sure, and my doctor agrees, that when the arthritis in my hip flares up, I tend to get bladder/pelvic pain. So if it can come from the hip, I don't see why it couldn't come from the back also. It seems that pelvic pain can refer anywhere around that region.

Good luck with the PT!
