I am so sorry if I scared anyone with my after cysto post! How I ever got so lucky and found you all I'll never know. I did not order any pain meds thru the Internet!!! It was close though. I have never received such awesome advice as I did from each of you! I look back at my post and am so embarrassed!! I was barley making any sense at all. We must all be friends because now you have seen the worst and most pathetic side of me. You all really pulled me back from a place I hope never to go to again.
I am feeling MUCH better. Man, do I wish I could pee..(sad). My dr never relented and gave me anything after the surgery but in spite of that I feel better. I hope you all know how valuable your words are.
Bless you all....

Deanna,
I cannot believe the Dr did not give you any pain meds after your cysto/hydro. I am so sorry you had to suffer like that.
You said you are not able to Pee are you on any OAB meds? I know they will make you have retention and so will meds like Uristat and Pyridium.
You might wan't to up your intake of water to get your bladder back to working, sometimes surgery can send it into a shock period. I hope you continue to feel better and if you need anything please just let us know..

I never read your cysto post, but we are more than understanding around here when it comes to feeling overwhelmed. There are days when I cry just out of frustration of constantly having the symptoms that accompany this crazy disease. I hope you get well, and I can not imagine why any uro would not give you pain meds after a cysto/hydro. My uro's office told me that you get meds after the cysto/hydro automatically. You don't have even have to ask. I hope you feel better soon.

I see an IC specialist 12/7, so please pray for me that he is a kind and understanding soul.:pray:

Deanna,
From my experinece pyridium gave me retention. It helped with the spasms but it also made it hard for me to pee. So if you are having trouble peeing this could be part of the cause.

Joy...What's next. To pee or not to pee, that is the question.

I have much better luck with Proced DS then pyridium, but my main complaint was that the Pyridium made me so sick to my stomach.
