Does anyone else get this

I have had a terrible pain I think in my urethra, it hurts every time I urinate sometimes it's so bad I am scared to go to the loo. It’s NOT burning but difficult to describe like I have glass cuts inside my urethra, and I don't seem to need the loo as often as I usually do but am drinking plenty. I have also felt sick and pain in my pelvic area. Is this part of IC has anyone else suffered from this? I also have my period.
Any advice would be useful, Abbie

That does all sound ic related. I am sure having that time of the month does not help. So the glass pain, is that the entire time you urinate? What meds are you taking and how long? Have you tried the diet? I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for your reply, the glass pain seems to be mostly at the beginning plus if a strain the pain gets worse, it is not all the time I urinate.
I am on medication for so many other complaints and have been told they also use these to treat IC but I am not sure which ones hep IC. I have been on the diet for about 2 years, sometimes things slip through but i am learning which foods and drink aggravate my bladder.
