Finally been diagnosed!!!!!!

As some of you know (if you read my last post) no i have had dis problem for 2 and a half yrs! but finally this evening i went to my urologist and he diagnosed with IC! i no some of you will be like why on earth are you happy about this! i feel so much relief about the fact that i have been diagnosed rather than happy about what i have as i can now build on this and i will be going back to the hospital once a week for treatment!!!!! just wanted to share it with people who would understand! thank you for reading!!!!!!!

It clears our minds of knowing that it is something real and there is a true reason why we are hurting. Now you know what you have it's time to get the treatment started.. Good luck to your road to recovery.

I does seem kinda strange to be happy about getting a diagnoses of IC doesn't it, but I totally understand. Now that you have name for what is causing your symptoms, you can begin to learn what meds/treatments will help you. I hope you find what works for you very soon so you can begin to live your life, again.

I was so relieved as well. Completely understand. It's a rollercoaster, but at least we know that it's real!

I just got dx last week and it's such a relief! As much as I am unhappy about having IC, it's also good to finally have it acknowledged so I can go on some treatment plans now.
