O.K. I just talked to Amy again and they are doing surgery this afternoon to remove her gallbladder. They are giving her oxygen and pain control. She said they would probably do the surgery around 3:00 this afternoon. They are waiting for an operating room to open up. She said the nurses have turned off the ringer to her phone. They gave her Versad and that has helped relax her. She said to tell everyone hello and thanks for your prayers and support.

i was able to get the nurse to turn her ringer on and i just talked to her.she sounds pretty good giving the circumstances.we were cut short because the anesthesiologist came in the room to explain everything,so her surgery should be shortly.i wish i could get there tonight to be with her,her husband isn't leaving work to be there:cussing::cussing:,that really bothers me for what a kind person she is,that he isn't there to hold her hand,i won't even go any further with that or i will say too many bad words.please send some prayers her way,i cannot imagine going through this alone.jamie

I do hope the surgery is without complications and that she recovers quickly. :)

I hope everything works out for her. Versed is GOOD Stuff! :) It's a good thing they shut off her ringer, she needs to relax and let the meds kick in and just take her away before her surgery. That's a VERY stressful time to be wide awake. :(
I can't believe her hubby isn't there....I'm sorry she's alone through this. If you talk to her again give her my best. I'm not even going to try calling her....she'll be drugged out all night til sometime tomorrow at least.

I talked to her last night in the ER and I'm glad they've found what's causing her pain and can do something about it. I hope the surgery has gone well.

Does anyone know what type of gallbladder removal they are doing? Can they do it lapascopically? (I know that is spelled wrong. I can not spell to save my life.)
