I can't help, but think that there is something seriously wrong. I can understand having severe pain 3 or so days after the procedure, but im beginning to think something else is going on. I mean the pain is constant, does not let up and when I urinate the pain gets so bad it makes me jump, literally... and CRINGE...I mean it hurts. It takes alot for me not to cry everytime i have to pee... I sit on the toliet squeezing a stress ball instead of yelling every swear word out there. I don't think this is normal. My mind keeps wandering and thinking what if I have a tear or something? I have read several people say the pain starts to subside after a bit, but mine is CONSTANT...sitting standing, walking, and peeing is HECK. I know that when you get a UTI you get burning, but this is not just burning. Its like my urethra has a papercut and keeps getting irritated. I also noticed a light tinge of red...which is new. I think its time I call my doc or go to the ER...ugh why me? or maybe im being a hypochondriac? has anyone has this experience after about 9 or so days? I mean i've take Urispas, pyridium and loritab like crazy and nothing is letting me just relax. i swear i dont even know what that word means anymore...night time seems to be my bladders favorite time for revenge too...i try to lay down and the pain just stings away...grrrrrrrrr...help. anyone?:help: right now the toliet is my enemy:toilet: and so is my bladder RAGE....

Night time use to be my worse, then out of no where it was the morning, and never at night. About a week after my Cysto. my urethra sometimes felt like an electrical jolt. I couldn't believe the pain. I thought I had a UTI and called the doctors office and came in to leave a urine sample. They had it cultured and it was negative for any infection. When I took they Loratabs and Pyridium, my symptoms got a liitle better. I could tolerate the pain more.
Maybe you should call your doctors office to let them know what is happening to you. Especially if you are seeing a liitle bit of red. I felt like an idiot because I called everyday for about 3 days asking for different medicines, or advice from the nurses. They were great to me and helped me calm down.
I do hope you get better soon.
Call your doctor's office & see if they will help you by phone or if you should go to the ER. That way if your insurance company doesn't want to pay, you can appeal by saying "At such & such time Friday November 23rd, I called Dr. So&So & he said to go to the ER. So I went to the ER on the medical advice of my physician".
It does sometimes happen that after a cystoscopy, a patient can get an infection, so it's worth making the call or going in. If it is an infection, you don't want it to spread to your kidneys, so call! And then let us know how you're doing, okay?
