I just recently developed IC. Along with it, I also have numbness/tingling in my big toe and feet. Has anyone else had that same problem. I am taking pyridium but am also going to ask doctor if I can take it long term. It really does help a lot.

Numbness in the extremities is not usually an IC symptom. I think you really should talk to your doctor about this.

Hello Susie,
Welcome! I hope you have talked to your Doctor about your numbness symptom. It is not a normal thing. I learned that the hard way. I just wanted to tell you that when my IC began as a child I also suffered with numbness in my feet. I remember bladder frequency early, and over the years I developed some numbness in my hands. I had difficulty holding things like pencils and pens in my hands and they sometimes ached and tingled at night. I always thought that I would be told I had MS. I began falling down without any reason and I felt terrible all over, kind of sick and flu like.
As my bladder became worse, so did my feet and hands. I went to so many Doctors and they just told me they thought it was all in my head. They did do tests and they ruled out MS. They did tell me that my protein was way too high in my spinal fluid and that they did not know what was wrong.
Eventually, I learned that I had a low thyroid disease. They then diagnosed my numbness and pains as poly sensory neuropathy, dysautonomia, and motor neuropathy (thyroid caused nerve damage) that had caused the numbness, aching and tingling sensations for so long.
My IC Doctors tell me I am their strangest patient they have had so far. :loco: I hope that your Doctors figure out what is causing your numbness and just pm me if you wish.
Best wishes Silverfox
