So I was prescribed Ditropan after my Cysto/Hydro yesterday. Im not so sure its a good idea because its suppose to stop frequent urination, but Im already having a hard time because of the pain from the procedure. Im confused..is anyone on this medicine, if so, please let me know how it works for you. thanks.

:hi:
I have been on Ditropan XL for about 8 months and it dulls the feeling of having to pee so much, at least that is how it works for me.You will get a very dry mouth but there is a gel you can get and it works VERY well.Also..it took about 1 1/2 months for the Ditropan to really start working for me.

Everyone is different especially when it comes to OAB meds. I tried most of them, even sanctura, which actually seemed to work when my doctor gave me some samples, but after a few days after I had my prescription filled, that med started having the same effects. Most of them caused my retention to be much worse, plus it effected my eyesight so badly. I had double and blurred vision.
Just be careful about retention especially after your hydro. It's not good to strain especially after your surgery.
Hope it works for you!

i took it for bladder spasms and pain and it worked some but caused me sever blurred vision so I had to stop. some of these meds would be great if it weren't for side effects.
