Today I went to the Urologist who finally said I had IC! After 6 months of going back and forth, he said this is what I have, but to what extent he doesn't know.
He read my hydro/cysto results which said I had small glomorations(spelling, sorry!) and is trying me on vesicare, urelle and Lexapro (I've already been on Lexapro and it works well for my anxiety. He said if the vesicare doesn't work, I should try Elavil but I would have to stop Lexapro. If that doesn't work well for me, he's going to try me on Elmiron.
I'm happy to finally have the diagnosis although it doesn't relieve my symptoms at all.
The next thing he wants to do is a Video Urodynamics because one of my main problems is pain after I void and he wants to see what's going on. I had regular urodynamics and it didn't show anything.
Anyone ever done this Video Urodynamics? How about Vesicare? How well will it work?
Thanks for any advice
-Allison

Well I'm glad you finally know for sure thought it sucks to have IC. I have never tried OAB meds as I do have frequency my biggest complaint is pain. I hope now that you finally have your diagnois you can start to get some relief. :grouphug:

I'm glad you have your dx - and I remember well what that felt like (relief to know - sadness to know) -

I have not done any of the urodynamics testing - so unfortunately I can't offer any advice on that subject -

I hope you feel better soon :welcome:

Thanks everyone, I'm glad to finally have to DX although it doesn't change anything. I just started Vesticare and if it doesn't work he wants me to go on Elavil. I'm hoping to start Elmiron as well but I don't see him again until end of Jan.
Lisa, where do you live in Pennsylvania? I live in Downingtown.
