Odd Colored Urine

Ok, after I got sick with who knows what (flu, skin staph, lyme) and taking Doxycycline my urine turned like....orange (and I was told to stop the med for another reason). It's the color it is when you take Pyridium:loco: And I havn't taken that in 2 years. I guess you could say it's darker. But it's also like this.....orange.....color. I thought maybe dehydration. But when I started drinking a lot of water (4+ 17oz watter bottles) my urine volume increased but the color was still....off, to say the least.

Oh and when they dipped my urine at the ER prior to the color shift, I had moderate white blood cells (if that helps at all).

Anyone got any thoughts?

moose, pls call your doc as this could be a strange "rare" side effect. pls call asap! good luck!!

My suggestion would be to call your pharmacist to be sure there wasn't anything in the antibiotic that would turn the urine orange.
