Question for those of you who take birth control

I started on "the pill" (Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) a couple of weeks ago. I felt fine the first week, but this week I've been flaring on and off. I've noticed that I've had some spotting, and every time there's blood, I flare. I read that spotting in the first month or so is normal and will taper off over time. I'm hoping this means that my bladder will return to normal too.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed this when they began birth control. And if so, did it get better for you?

sometimes people flare w/ period in general
it doesnt seem to make any difference for me

i was on tricyline for years...just switched to that SEASONALE
where you only get your . a few times a year

had no differnce in flares during the switch

i wouldnt quit them

Hi

I notice I flare whenever I have my period. I was on Kariva for the past year and had great success. Very light periods and no flare. I would hang in and give it a try!
My primary just took me off them because my blood pressure went up (was normal prior to pill) But now I am having horrible flare/ started two days before my period and continues not to mention heavy flow.
Not sure whether to go back on pill despite the high blood pressure or what /totally depressed.

Also take notriptyline 25mg at night

Yes, when I started on Seasonique I had spotting for the first 3 mo. and cramping. After the 3 mo it's gone. Occasional spot here and there but really no problems.I also noticed my bladder would be more sensitive when I spotted.

How did you feel with Cystoprotek? Do you take this in replace for elmiron? I can't really tell if the elmiron is working for me, I have been on it for 6 mo. now. I still get bad flares. I have to take 10mg of vesicare and 20 mg of ditropan to keep the spasms down.
