Hi all,
after 11 years of driving my 96 Ford Tarus, i taking a HUGE leap and buying a 2007 VW Passat 2.0t Wolfsburg sedan. it is loaded and I love it! My payments are scaring me around $420 per month:mad: but i need a new car and we are VW lovers here. Does anyone else love their VW's? It is loaded, heated seats that are amazing on my poor bladder and driving has been an issue since every bump hurts!
I'd love to hear some feedback from you guys and hear what you think of your VW'. Mine is white and gorgeous. I am closing today..keep your fingers crossed for me. it is a big car payment but I think we can swing it if we scale back our spending abit (less Target splurges and online/HSN buying for me:rolleyes:)
Thanks much!

Hi,
being german I of corse LOVE my VW golf. My whole familiy drives VW for years and years. They never loose their value over here because they can be driven until they very, very, very old :) I bought mine 5 years ago, it's now 10 years old and it was never broken...
Congrats to your new car & have fun with it.....:smile tee
Are you in Germany or do you live in the U.S.?:)

Congrats on your new car! I sounds beautiful. I love white cars. Good luck with not spending money in Target! LOL. I went in there yesterday to just get peanut butter for my dog's kong. Running out of peanut butter for Mollie, is like running out of diapers when I had babies. When I left there, I had spent over $50.00 and I just had 1 bag!
I test drove a VW Bug (actually my hubby did..I don't test drive cars) when the convertibles first came out, but the ride was too rough for my bladder. I think they are so cute though. I wanted a baby blue or a light green one so bad. My hubby has a friend that he has known since junior high that just bought a Passat. He drives from the Nashville area and back several times each month for his job and says it's great on gas.
With the gas prices keep rising, my husband has tried to get me to get another Honda. He has a nice Accord, but I don't do well riding in his car for very long, so I will just stick with my Ford Explorer (white). I even tried the Honda Pilot, but it's not as comfortable. Before I got the Explorer, our family was pretty much a Honda family. Both boys got Hondas (our hand me downs) when they started driving. I have had it for 5 years and it doesn't make my bladder angry at all. I am also so used to being higher up off the road. Even when I ride in my mom's Jaquar, which I know has a smooth ride, I get antsy.

Hubby is a BIG VW fan. We have a 70 something bug in the garage that doesnt run. Not sure why he bought it cause he hasnt done anything since then.:loco:
He also had a Golf when we met, and I know he's had other VW's in the past.
They are fun cars, but I like big cars. I have a Mercury Grand Marquis.

My son also has a Passat with heated seats and it has a nice ride. I still drive my old 1995 Chevy Truck because I don't want a car note and I don't drive that often (too painful) so I can't justify the cost of a new car. I am going to drive my truck until the wheels fall off :smile tee I better quit saying that or I am going to jinx myself :)
Enjoy your new car. I bet it is awesome. Post a picture of it when you get it so we can all see it. Good Luck :hi:

I live in IL too! (about 3 hours south of you if I remember right) And yes, Im ready for the first snow of the season. Im tired of the dreary clouds. They say we may see a few flakes for Thanksgiving. My drivers dont like the snow, but oh well:bonk:
Im glad you like your bug. Jerry has always liked his VW's.

Hey BBB,
I live in Houston. Do you work here all of the time or part time?
Oh my gosh! I just got back from Houston last night! I guess you would say I am there part-time.
The Bank I work for, Franklin Bank, has its Holding Company/Executive Offices there. I am a Regional Commerical Lending Manager so I my Manager is in Houston. I used to come to Houston a lot but now I only come oh, about once a month. It used to be more however we started doing a lot of our meetings via conference calls.
If we have off site meeting we meet in the Woodlands. If we are meeting at the Bank I stay at the Marriott off Westheimer and the Bank is like 2 miles from there.
This time I had a couple days of meetings and then our Cheif Credit Officer retired so we had a party for him on Friday night.
Where do you live? I can't remember, are you still working? If so where?

Hi,
I also have a volkswagon beatle, and I love its. Its new this year, love the heated seats too!
Read one of your other posts about the pain in the lower back , I am in a flare still and get that too, although the majority of my pain is in my one side of my butt. And the burning too,. I have been thinking of trying Zoloft . Is anyone else on this for their IC?
