Hello everyone,
I was put in Keflex yesterday for an infection not related to my bladder and today my bladder is very angry and acting up. Can Keflex cause a flare?

I suggest you talk to your Dr about this, But that was the same antibiotic that I was on that made me have a major IC flare.. I knew I needed something though because that is when I had the rusty nail stuck in my foot.. I called the Dr and she changed my antibiotic..

So will the flare go away if I stop the antibiotic?

I would call your Dr if you have an infection and need an antibiotic. And yes the flare went away about 2 days after I stopped it..

Well the doctor has switched to Cipro. Hope this one won't cause problems.

I've never had any problems with Cipro, Keflex caused me to flare AND get a yeast infection!

Keflex does not agree with my bladder for sure. I know it is a bright red color so I think it might be color.
