Ok, so I normally don't have pain until the next day or so after intercourse. However~ this morning when my hubby and I were still in bed, and he 'started stuff' the entire area was really sore, like I was bruised or something. Inner, outer, extreme outer... just everything. Now I'm flareing and can't take a pill yet. I have the truck because I have to run a few errands and then pick him up at work. WHY am I hurting like this? I've never felt bruised except after those very very rare 'marathon' sessions. Marathons only happen maybe twice a year for us anymore. They used to be so commen... geez, I'm old. :) What should I do? Thanks, Michelle.

Hey Michelle, ugh, so sorry you're feeling crummy after what's supposed to be fun! :( Where are you at in your cycle, could that be making you extra-sensitive? I know I was always my worst at ovulation time, PMS and right before my period. Seemed anything I'd do around that time was wrong - even if it had nothing to do with my bladder, lol ;)
Hope you feel better soon!!!!

That happened to me yesterday and I was sore immediately which never happens and it was just as you said a "quickie". I had to take a pain pill and just stay in bed for a little longer. I hate for him to know that I hurt, so I just told him I wanted to see how the people dressed up for Halloween on the Today Show. The meds kicked in and I was fine, but it was unusual. Not the sex LOL, the pain.
But I did have a "marathon" session working out in the yard on Sunday which I am still sore from. I used to be able work in the yard the entire day away and be fine. I worked for about 5 hours, trimming the hedges and thinning out my perrineals, etc. Right before I started helping hubby put up the yard tools, I absolutely hit a wall and it was like I couldn't do another thing. I managed to roll up the extension cords and headed into the house. I know I am getting old!

Hmmmm... hadn't htought of cycle. I think I'm to be ovulating soon. I'll have to go look at my calendar in my purse... but that means I have to MOVE. ugh
I also HATE for my hubby to know that he's hurt me. He feels AWFUL when that happens. I try not to tell him, but try to finish in a hurry when I do hurt. He has NO CLUE. (I can write this becasue he's never on the internet)
I just get up and take a pain pill without his knowing. He's normally asleep by the time I get back into bed anyways!

I am on the depo shot, so I don't have a cycle anymore. I hid it well, so no worrying.

I had my tubes tied 8 years ago. I still cycle, but don't really know how it all works. I really don't care how it all works either, just know I don't have anymore BC issues. I think that I take ENOUGH pills in a day to think of anymore pills or shots or patches. On a good ay I take 7 or so pills. <choke choke>

I don't need birth control, my hubby took care of that a long time ago, but with my research on myself through keeping a journal, I knew that my cycle was a huge cause of my pain, especially when I was ovulating. I could almost tell the moment I started ovulating and my husband and kids took cover. Not only was I hurting, I was a very mean person. My doctor didn't want to give me the depo shot because I am older and it can affect your bones. I talked to a NP and she happened to have a cousin that had IC and she saw no problem with me getting the shot. I do have to have a bone scan every year or so and so far, my bones look younger than I am. It has been over 2 years, so I suffered for many years due to hormones, and I no longer have PMS or am "as" mean.
I am definitely not a medical authority, and I am not suggesting that people get the depo shot. I knew the information on it and talked to my NP at length about getting it.

Tracey83,
You sound like me..I also was a very mean person and hurt so bad before getting on continious birthcontrol. My period and ovulating played a big part on my IC pain. And everything does seem to be more tender around that time..Even though I have No period my body still goes through some of the symptoms.
So traceann might be on to something:)

That is why I say I am still "mean" or easily upset at times, but just not as much as before. I read that your body still goes through changes, but you aren't actually ovulating. I have never had any breakthrough bleeding and that is common especially when you first start your shots. The NP told me to come in if I had any bleeding and she would give me another shot, but never was necessary. First time that my body actually didn't have any issues with a med. I know it isn't that way for everyone!

I took Depo shots before Justin and I pretty much constantly bled. Ugh. I sure don't want that. Maybe I need one of those 3 periods a year pills.

Michelle,
That might be somethng you could mention to your Dr.. I take continous birth control even though I dont need it because my hubbys has that fixed, but I will stay on birthcontrol as long as my Dr will let me..
I have terrible terrible side effects if I dont take the pill....My IC and Endo Is unbearable around that time of month...So it could be worth checking into.. Good luck..
