I would like to thank you all your wonderful comments and it is great that I can come in and talked to wonderful people who understand our conditon.

1. Does anyone pap smears come out positive due to IC?

2. Has any of your fathers been in Vietnam? I was wondering because of agent orange.

Well...

Yes to the positive paps.. Meaning I have mild Dyplasia and HPV

Yes my father was in Vietnam, but he was a cook on a Navy Carrier.

yes to the pap in that I had (have?) hpv and cervical dysplasia that required a leep. clean paps for five years now.

Thank you for your response that helps me a lot. My dad was in Vietnam and agent orange was sprayed when he was there. So I was wondering if there was a connection between the two.

yes my dad was in vietnam. he was a helicopter pilot so i'm not sure what his exposure to agent orange might have been.

I am positive that my IC was caused by frequent UIs as a young child. I also believe that what we now call "IC" could be divided into two different disorders one day, with many different possible causes.

My paps have all been good, and my father is a bit too old to have been in Vietnam. But Trixie, I think you're probably right.

2 yes. not sure if he was exposed to agent orange or anything else.
