Okay here I go again. I have just received another script for Climara Pro, and will start it tonight!!! I am premature menopausal at 42 (started at 36), and I just don't think it's good for me to be without hormones at this age. I believe a transdermal patch has got to be better than pills because it doesn't pass through the liver etc..., and it's more evenly distributed daily. It is 17 estradiol, and levorngestrel, and I hope the patch stays on this time. (that was my problem the last time). Anyhow wish me luck!!!

Some women put tegaderm patches over the Climara patches to help the sticking issues. Try going to hystersisters.com There are a bunch of threads regarding this issue. I tried it and it helped keep the patch on. I, however, changed to Vivelle Dot as the Climara was not controlling my symptoms. The Vivelle sticks like a champ and controls all of my symptoms. -V

I sure hope it works for me because I'm running out of options. My bladder hates pills of any kind especially the hormones, and I still have my uterus so I have to do the progesterone. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely look it up. I went to the Climara Pro website this time and really read the information about how to keep it sticking, and they mention not to rub it too often when towel drying etc... It didn't work for any of your symptoms?

Well, it worked great for about four months or so. My theory is that it worked until the hormones that were built up and stored in my fat were gone( I had a hysterectomy). Anyhow, after that I got leg and neck pains whenever I tried to ues it. My memory also stunk on it. My shoulders and neck would get so sore and then I would get a headache. I don't have those problems on the Vivelle. Hey I just thought of another tip I read about keeping it stuck. Some people use a blowdryer on it after they get out of the shower. Their theory was that the warm air gave the glue more sticking power. -Vicki

Good idea, thanks!!! So far it's sticking just fine, and no side effects that I can tell, but it hasn't even been 24 hours. :smile tee

Well now I'm worried a little...today I had pain in my left arm. I felt like garbage all day today too though...as if I have the flu. I woke up feeling so aweful, and dizzy. My husband isn't feeling well either though, but this arm thing is bothering me. I'm wondering if I should take the patch off and see what happens.
