antivert- help!

I have Meniere's disease & Antivert is the antihistamine of choice. The last time I tried 1/2 dose it triggered a bout of IC & leg burning that kept me up all night. It was miserable. I'm having inner ear problems & need some relief but am afraid to try it again.

Have any of you used Antivert & what was your experience? Thanks for your help.

I have used antivert, it has never bothered me. But the last time it didn't help, and my doctor gave me 1/2 of zanax(25mg) to help with the dizziness. He told me it was a new study that it helped vertigo. It did help some. I hate vertigo, mine acts up a couple of times a year. Good Luck, hope you feel better!

Thanks Kelly, I have not heard that Zanax helps. I guess anything for anxiety might calm the vestibular system. I will ask dr about that.
