Hi All,

I just wanted to alert you about a tincture/oil called "Oil of Oregano" that is used to cure sore throats and other ailments. I thought it would be safe to take it for a nasty cold that was coming on, because oregano is a bladder-friendly, it worked great on my throat but not on my bladder. I am just getting over a week-long full flare because I didn't use caution :loco:

Some good news though, I know I have an acidic body as most ICer's do, so I decided to fight fire with fire. Yesterday, I bought a juicer from Canadian Tire for $100.00 and a whole slew of alkaline, green veggies. Since I was mildly flaring, I thought I would make a glass of "juice", as it turns out I wound up making 30 oz. of it , oh my, but I drank it all down and within half and hour my symptoms were gone :woohoo:, that was at 3pm and guess what, I only peed once after consuming it. In fact I went to my 1 hour yoga class at 5pm.

Also, I found out that when my bladder feels hot and burning at night when I lay down, to place an ice bag on my sheet, between me and the icebag and I can drift off to sleep, but I ditch the icebag at the very last minute before dropping off.

Maybe some of you other suffers can find releif from this hell, with one of my recommendations.

Judy :)

I hear so many posters that use ice. I only have IC not anything wrong with my vulva and I don't have PFD. Do any other people that just have IC, notice that? If I use ice at all, it causes my bladder to hurt. My bladder doesn't like cold at all. I am dreading the winter because I really get tensed up, so I try to stay as warm as possible. I have tried the heat packs, but it doesn't help. I guess it's because my whole body is cold and gets tensed up.

Hi Judy,

Thanks for letting us know I have never heard of this product at all ..

Everyone of us handle our IC in different ways and not everything works for one or another.

Cheers, Debbie
