Just got the order form today for this and was stunned to see that if you want an autograph page you have to pay extra for it. Isn't that one of the reasons for a yearbook, is memories. And my daughter is on the yearbook staff so it's not like I can not get one or go gripe to the staff, becasue the staff doesn't care:smile tee

Back in my day (you know about covered wagons, right?), that was what the advertisement pages were for. :)

Thats what I thought. We even had to go buy her an updated 7 megapixel digital camera for this class. My 5 MP wasn't enough. When i was in school the school provided those also as school property. Times really change. She sits here everynight on our home PC and has to upload all her pictures for the day to Jostens website and the kids do most from home. I am not sure what she does in the 90 minute class everyday

That just does not seem right, but so much has changed since I was in high school..
But that is like at the beginning of the school year we get a supply list right? So I go and buy my stepdaughter her supplies for each class. Well then .. GET this now.. I get a note saying that they need 10 dollars for supply fee for paper for the teachers to use for copying!! Im sorry but thats just was asking to much. I thought that is what all them fundrasiers are for, that I do support?

they have to buy there own cameras to take pictures and work from home, sounds like a paycheck should be involved.
They want to provide the class, have the students run t, but they don't want to supply anything and still chatge you an arm and a leg.

My son was on the newspaper staff and had to provide his own camera. It was before the digital cameras were really popular. The paper had 1 camera to use between all the staff, so it wasn't available most of the time. We bought Justin a nice camera and even had to pay for the film and developing most of the time!
Leslie, I am putting on my insurance cap now. Please put her camera on a personal articles policy. Call your insurance agent. It is so cheap and no deductible. We have all of our cameras and my kids laptops on the policy as well as other things that can easily be stolen or broken on accident, because if you file it under your homeowners policy, you will have a deductible plus in alot of cases it doesn't pay for breakage. Kids are more likely to drop them, etc. A personal articles policy covers lost, stolen, and even breakage and you won't have a deductible. My younger son had to get a camera for a class he took last year. It was stolen out of his backpack. It was a $400.00 camera and we got it replaced with no problem. I recommend it especially for items like cameras, and laptops. I worked in insurance a number of years. We would have people calling in about there camera being stolen, etc. They didn't have a personal articles policy on it, but tried to file it under their homeowners. With most companies, the cheapest deductible is $500 now and then its a claim on your homeowners policy as well. Which isn't good and causes your rates to go up.
Just thinking of the possibilities. It certainly saved us from paying for another camera. We have Justin's golf clubs on the policy as well. We haven't had to use it yet, but those clubs are worth alot of money and he has them in his car constantly. You never know what could happen.

Good. I can't believe how many people that I had to convince that $20.00 a year for insurance on their kids laptop computers was a good idea. And they always would say they will come in later and I would never hear from them until their "littl Johnny's" laptop was stolen. Sure I had the app done, but never any money sent in.
Once you work in insurance, it stays with you doesn't it????

Man o man times have changed in ten years! I was on yearbook staff 3 of the 4 years. I went to a small school, so yearbook was an afterschool activity. We had like 2 or 3 cameras - Pentax K1000's. Whenever there was an activity, our advisor would assign a camera and have that person take pics for that activity. We could also go and request a camera early in the morning if we wanted so that we could walk around and take candid pics.
Our yearbooks also came with FREE autograph pages. I know that some of my friends liked to autograph on the page that their picture was on, so that was kinda fun. I had my ten year reunion this summer. I was the only one who brought yearbooks and it was a hit.

LOL T speaking of sticking with y0u., My daughter BF left the house today and drove around the block, and called me and said mom can you come around the corner some guy just hit me. I jumped int he car and went and thank goodness because the guy tried to just exchange info and when I got there and said no way. The guy started well mam you see my insurance expired yesterday and I was on my way to pay it when I did this and and and. I told him most have at least a 10 day grace period and Iw as calling 911. When they got there and ran his lic. they were suspened in 2005 for a bunch of crap and a this one just cost him a his insurance as well I would say. or he will get a "great rate with high risk.

I bet between us, we could write a book about insurance stories. I had a guy come in to get insurance on his car. I was getting his information. He told me that he had not tickets or accidents. I ran his license and it came back with at least 5 tickets and 2 accidents and license suspended. He kept telling me it was a mistake, it was his brother, blah, blah, blah. When he was leaving, I watched him walk out and his car had no left front fender or headlight.
My main job was as an adjuster for 13 years with FedEx. I have a ton of stories. I mainly handled the claims where other people hit the FedEx vans and I had to subrogate the money. Fun, fun, fun!
I hope no one was hurt.
When my son had his first and only (knock on wood) accident. The first question I asked him if he was at fault. He was like great mom, thanks for worrying if I am okay. I had to apologize, but that is how my mind works, plus rates for boys are already high enough. It wasn't his fault at all and the guy that hit him was insured by an agent I knew. The guy did try to just "exchange info" but I trained him well! He knew exactly what to do. I don't remember if it's our county or state, if you have an accident and don't call the police, you can be fined and 24 hours in jail. Even if you have a one car accident.

Oh T My funniest was this lady who had a buzzard smack her windshield and drove another 20 miles to the office slowly with it still on her windshield to prove to me it was a buzzard. Then ask me to remove it after I took the photos's....... um mam I will do alot for my clients but removing a dead buzzard isn't one of them. I sent her downt he street to the glass shop and they did it for me. EWWWWWWWW. I mean deer hair left behind was one thing but the whole huge buzzard was way to much
No one was hurt and yes the first thing I said was DON"T MOVE YOUR TRUCK! and he hadn't I guess we will never de program that part of us
