I had a long appt with my OB this morning and he approved me to stay on Elmiron, Atarax, Singulair, Claritin and even Ambien if/when I get pregnant. The only thing I can't take is Ativan which will be hard because my anxiety was really bad last time I was pregnant. He kept talking about the possibility of hyperemesis (extreme morning sickness) which scared the daylights out of me but I guess he is being realistic due to my stomach condition. He said they can admit me to the hospital or do home IV if necessary. So now all I have to do is decide if I should take the plunge and hope it won't interfere with my other health issues too much.
Charisse,
I am so happy for you thinking about trying. Gastrop can be so awful. I hate it! How can morning sickness be worse then that? You might even feel better. I did when I got pregnant and unfortunatley gained 60 pounds. Ugh!
Good luck!

Betsy do you have gastroparesis? If so, were your main symptoms pain or nausea??
Mary I'll PM you in a moment! Good to see your face :)
I do have Gastroparesis. My main sympton is nausea and some pain. But...If I try to eat anything when it is real bad, my pain goes thru the roof. It is awful! I hate it.

Betsy how old is your child? I would love it if my gastroparesis improved. Nausea is my main problem with it.
He is three. Although I have two children older then him, I didn't have Gastrop with them only with my youngest. I did better when I was pregnant. I really don't know what to attribute to that. Maybe I ate alot of soft bland food and didn't take anything that was bad for me. It is weird, I know!

Betsy thanks so much for the insight! I had a miscarriage last year and I had some pretty yucky morning sickness but I don't think it had anything to do with the gastroparesis really. I think I'm just one of those unlucky ones that overreacts to hormones.
