Sleep apnea causing nocturia?

Just heard of the idea that sleep apnea can cause nocturia. Anyone ever deal with this? We wondered why the Interstim helped during the day but not at night, so this is a possible explanation. Nurse told me that struggling to breathe at night can release a diuretic hormone. My dad has sleep apnea, so it's in the family.

My husband has sleep apnea. He had a deviated septum and had two surgeries to remove some bone and what not and it has cleared things up really well. :)
