Here we go.A team of expert think the bladder elevation can cause hypertonicity(pressure of the sphincter):

Anyone who had their bladder fix higher?

Correlation of bladder base elevation with pelvic floor hypertonicity in women with lower urinary tract symptoms.

I just had a prolapse fixed 3 weeks ago. I dont know about any side effects or anythig like that yet. but I guess I dont understand what hypertonicity is exactly. I hope I dont have any weird results of having it. but it was unavoidable being that my bladder was a few centimeters from coming out of my body. so it had to be done. But..Hmm...I would like to know what the hypertonicity is al about.

Hypertonicity just means that the muscles tense; if the muscles in the sphincter become too tense/tight, it can make it difficult or impossible to urinate.

I'm glad you're doing well after your surgery. I have had surgery to lift my abdominal organs back to where they belong and it was successful. Just be sure you don't do any lifting until you're fully recovered.
