Ok so i just got the new newsletter from the NVA and it was talking about BOTOX used as a treatment for Vulvodynia and ic and they spoke very positive about it, and, now that i'm gonna go see a specialist in vulvar pain and such in Oct. I'm going to beg for them!.
I'm convinced i need these injections. Their studies found that it helped with painful sex and i'm totally convinced i NEED this treatment no matter what the cost!
Soooooo.....has anyone here ever tried this for Vulvodynia, or ic, but mostly Vulvodina? Or heard any bad or good comments in referal to Botox for what we have?
I know i have to talk to my urologist and gyno first and"consult", but as i recall my new urologist threw botox out there when telling me about different treatment options last time i saw him.

I've never had botox injections but I know some have had great success with the injections for IC symptoms, not sure about the Vulvodynia though. Hopefully someone with some experience with it will chime in.

Redy2Smile&Liv,
did you end up getting Botox? I know one woman who had botox for V V and IC and another who has botox for IC and PFD and also gets the injections in the vestibular area (she doesn't have V V ). Both had good results from it.

I want to do soem reasearch myself about the subject on Botox for vulvodynia.
