IBS or IC?

Me first:Pubic irritation and burning sensation.

Then after i got IBS from NSAID Naproxen.Acute sigmoid shock :mad:

I got IBS first. but then I got IC soon after. I also have acid reflux...ulcer...AND I get cold sores due to TO MUCH ACID. so I believe that producing to much acid has alot to do with it all. But thats just ONE of my theories. :)

I got IBS when I was about 12 years old, I was 28 when I was diagnosed with IC. IBS came first.

For me, IC first, then IBS.
For my mom, IBS first, then IC.

IbS first for sure , for over 13 years now then just recently my Urologist diagnosed ,me with IC ..honestly I think he's wrong . He did a cysto , asked me a few questions then imediatly said it was IC that I had ..

I wonder if some of the meds we take for the IC causes the IBS to happen and then stay?

I don't have IBS so I guess my IC came first. I honestly think if I were going to develop IBS, I'd have it by now.

IC at 12 (when I started my period) and IBS at 20. My IBS was the first to be diagnosed which was at 20 and I didn't get my official IC label until I was 38 (long story).
