First DMSO treatment....AARRGGG!!

Yuck! I tried 6 DMSO and luckily I only had that taste when I peed the solution out. If I held my nose while I was peeing (I know, funny mental picture) then I didn't taste it at all. I don't have any suggestions for making it go away but hopefully that will stop it next time. I hope the DMSO helps you, it sure didn't work for me but some say it's their miracle.

DMSO has been a lifesaver for me. I have been using it every 3 weeks for the past 15 years. It's funny but sometimes I taste it immediately and other times I don't. I just put a mint in my mouth and the taste seems to go away. Try brushing your teeth and rinsing with mouthwash. I hope DMSO works for you.

I have only had DMSO instilled once when I had my cysto/hydro to be diagnosed but I do remember that taste. Hubby told me I smelled like garlicky corn so I guess that was what I was tasting. It went away on its own by the next day. I did brush my teeth a lot, though.

it only last for about 72 hours. i am on my 5th dmso. but i hate the taste. :bonk:

i can see a difference of my pelvic pain is gone. but the burning is still there. i feel really raw. i still go to the bathroom...to pee a million times:toilet: so sleeping a good nites sleep is out of the question for me. i started taking
elavil 25mg at nite. it cause dry mouth and i have to drinkwater...so i am up peeing all nite. Does anyone know of a good ic doctor in texas? i am going to scott and white next month to see if i can get one. I live in San Angelo and they just don't have doctors here that can treat ppl for ic...they dont understand it. :cussing:
