Bladder Problems

I found out I have IC in March after surgery to take out adhesions, scar tissue, cyctocele, rectocele, and implant a bladder sling. ... I guess I am crazy because I thought it was normal...I've been having chronic bladder infections since 1992..I stopped counting a long time ago. Everything from the surgery went well...but the last bladder infection I got, I got while on Macrodantin...go figure... the pain was unbearable, I ended up calling the doctor on a Saturday. Thank goodness he wasn't busy and he called me and the prescription back within 10 minutes (usually I always have my urine cultured, I have had about 8 different types of organisms in my bladder)...Anyway enough of me complaining....I had a renal ultrasound done today because my last scan was done 2 years ago and the doctor is just checking...However, now my bladder is not emptying completely....Has anybody had any problems with this? I am really enjoying my bladder sling I haven't been able to hold urine for 17 years until now....Fix one problem and I guess created another

Any insight would be appreciated...

I see your post is about a month old, however I have the same exact thing after the same 3 (with a hys) procedures done. The Bladder sling has caused a lot of retention and pain, although I did have some prior to the surgery which was 2 years ago.

Are you still interested? How are you doing with it?
