What do I take for a headache?

Does Tylenol, Advil or Aleve cause flares?

I know Advil is acidic and bothers alot of people. I don't have any problem with Tylenol but I have read a few that it bothers and Aleve is fine for me.

I take tylenol for occasional headaches. If you're having frequent ones you should talk with your doctor.

Hi there! I don't get headaches often. However, when I get a bad one I usually need Advil to get rid of it. I can not take Advil on an empty stomach. When I was first diagnosed I had to take Prelief with the Advil. I was also told by one of my doctors that I should take Advil before taking tylenol because of the medications I'm on and what organ digests them. You should probably talk to your doctor to see what he/she advises and then decide what will be best for you.

I get really bad headaches, i take ANOLOR 300mg .
and the other one is..
BUTAL/APAP/CAFF -50/3325/4
i THINK THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME PILL, just different makers.

I take IBUProfen occasionally for headaches and it doesn't bother me. Excedrin works best for my headaches, but I don't take it any more, as it has quite a bit of caffeine in it.

If you want to stay away from chemicals, you might want to try natural remedies. Feverfew and lavendar oil are supposed to work quite well for headaches.

I usually take Aleve for my headaches, I don't get too many. I tried Advil but that bothers my bladder. I notice that some people can take that, but others can't.

I used to get migraines and the only thing that helped was 2 tylenol and 2 aspirin and a soda for caffeine. Excedrin tension headache works really well for alot of people. I don't know if we ICers can take aspirin though, especially if you're on elmiron. Now I take 100 mg of atarax at bedtime and haven't had headaches for a long time. When it doesn't help or i have headaches for a few days I take ativan at bed untill they're gone. If you have anxiety/ depression issues, take care of them and the headaches may go away on their own. That's what finally helped me.
